very go so then let me go ahead and share the screen one more time okay here we go can you go on to Naviance this is the main screen that you will see on the top you will CD different towns we have home self-discovery career college planner and then we have some other icons to the right when will how to write those also I want to start with the home screen normally you'll see a letter here and then on the right you will see some things that we use in terms of Navien Navien is our online platform that we use in 9th 10th 11th and 12th grade and the bulk of the time that they will be using their Naviance is when they are seniors that is because everything that is held within Naviance which are their transcripts to school profile the letters of Rec all those in from pieces of a Nation will go electronically to the college's they are requesting that they be sent to so we're going to talk a little bit about the colleges in a second but I wanted to kind of look at this top bar and what we also have about here I'm the first one went to talk about is what we called the about me it's all the way here to the right when you scroll down there you can see that it isn't the students account at the high school and then there's some documents and notes in are at our school we only have a few of that we actually use on Naviance because we are also on Google Classroom this year and the last couple years so we are using it for the vet the hybrid the first one would be there resume we talk today when we went into the study halls of why we use the resume will use the resume as a consistency piece so colleges will look at it and say what did the snow start in first in 9th grade what do they have in 10th Grade what do they do in 11th grade and when they do in 12th grade so many students might for example be an athlete so they would be in one sport all the way from 9 to 12 another student might be in our virtual business and they would be starting in the Elantra your class and they will go through all the way to the varsity business to colleges are looking a little bit about what is the student what their interests are and what have they decided to put on their resume as our consistency pee so we do talk about that we don't want students to be having 15 different kinds of activities we wants to students do really choose what's meaningful for them second part that we are using is their test scores the test scores as a 9th grader. having chess boards in there on this is for if they are taking the PSAT the SAT or the act all three of those tests the PSAT is the practice of the sat on that is usually in 10th and 11th it is when students take that and the SAT is usually the 11th and 12th grade or the ACT is also 11th or 12th grade and they are self-reported score so the students will go into their Naviance and Report their test and they will put it in for the reading the writing and their mouths bills are the two that we are actually using on the documents and notes so going back to the home screen I said a little bit about the college's 10th grade we really hit that career and cluster hard and in by 11th and 12th we start looking at scholarships and money because we talked about how expensive college is and where they can look for scholarships and where they can get some free money I'm because she money is good money for them to go to college down here they have important to do and tasks we do not use their flying to right now they can use it if they want to if they want to put things in but a lot of them already have a planner using their notebooks they might be using their they're not a by reminder that the middle school it's there a tiger guy at the high school and over here cuz what's new on many of the things that you'll see here will pop up for college visits we had about 109 School visit this fall they were out there during lunch time under the white pants and they can any student can go in and talk to admissions office there we tell him that it's really good to get to know them and just to really look at different colleges that are out there they'll get some swag they'll get some information so it's always a wonderful wake me up gently kind of looking into the College seen as they grow and they going to 10th grade 11th grade we do ask them to go to more than one they can go as soon as many as they want it is during lunch time so it's xssx the bowl outside and students can really go and pick and choose maybe who they want to listen to In addition we have some virtual colleges coming to the going on to the next tab it's called a self-discovery tab on the self-discovery tab you'll find some kinds of assessment these on the top of the anything that says career are the assessments that they are going to do in 10th Grade the two that they are working on currently are the learning and productivity and the personality so I'm going to just show a little bit what that looks like this is the learning in productivity this is an example of what a student would do they would to have a 20-minute time frame they asked if types of questions and then they give them a summary of what is what they wrote down for example how do they learn you know how what is it do they are the auditory learner are they more kinesthetic are they more visual so they can Tennessee where they end up from answering the questions in addition they have what they call the environmental preferences low-light tradition light or early in the day and warm environment versus cool you know how did they lie to did they like to be a little bit more still do they need to stand with a standing desk to they want it quiet in the background do they want anything of that nature and then they go down to the mindset preferences what is it that their preference in terms of their attitude toward learning and work are they more independent in their structure to be like more collaborative so this is really to help a student kind of understand how do they best daddy several I have several students at some like to focus a like to sit on their bed and do their work some have their ear plugs and someone it completely quiet it just depends on the individual student so they can look through this and cantaloupe at their preferences and then they can go to the different subsections and kind of talk about it with their four senses in addition than they can go and see what are some of the recommendations so if they learn a sir wait what might be helpful strategies for them to do that working on assignments preparing for tester presentations how to study for tests and quizzes then they move on to the kinesthetic and recommendations for that piece in addition to tactile learning so the student is very high in the tactile what are the recommended recommendations for there so everyone who takes this all the freshmen who are taking this in the next two days will come up with different responses and different recommendation so one of the things that I would suggest as parents has to sit down with your freshman and kind of go through things about how they learn cuz that might also give you a little bit more insight and high school of what they might need to do or what how to tweak their style of studying to help them out a little bit more so that was the first one the second one that they had done today is called a personality so if you know anything called the Myers-Briggs it is based off of 16 profiles so when a student takes this achieveworks personality they start looking at what did they come out in terms of their for designated letter so i r e is introversion or extraversion the acid sensing vs. intuition the access is feeling versus thinking and the J is judging versus perceiving so it goes on in the personality type to tell us student a little bit of how they are as a personality we go through when we talked a little bit about careers for example we said if you're if you're somebody who might want to go into sales for example would you it would be better for you to be an introverted maybe it would be better if your little bit more extroverted so they start thinking about how their personality might be in where they choose to go to the majors that they choose to choose at our wedding you wanting to go to college in addition to maybe what their career Focus might be so it gives them a little bit of an NM information about how they are and it talks about each of them in terms of what that means was in introversion vs. extraversion for example it tells them what it is and turns of sensing vs. intuition peace in addition is the thinking versus the feeling peace the judging versus perceiving here and a little bit more about their learning style it also talked a little bit about challenges and as adults we know that they are is that we learn better there's some ways that maybe they are a little bit more challenging and so these are wasted for them to kind of think about who am I and how how does that work for me here at high school and moving forward I have recommendations on here and it talks about what we can do for example if you're struggling to understand maybe ask your instructor to explain how the concept can be applied in Practical terms you know he prefer to study alone going learning from home is an advantage for you talk a little bit about their environments then it moves on to what we call work and productivity so talks about their strengths and again it talks about and where might have some challenges and again the recommendation what is their preferred environments this is also a way to help them kind of hone their skills on how they learn who they are just as freshmen because it's big jump from 8th grade to to 9th grade in many ways in that transition a lot of our students realize well there's a lot of more work we don't get extra credit the studying Styles a little different I'm having blocks block scheduling everyday versus having an all day on Monday and then block schedule on the other four days is different having late starts or different so there's all different kinds of parts of high school that's really important for them to start understanding and it's understanding themselves because once they understand themselves it's a little bit easier for them to navigate to find the resources to become a self-advocate so we also have growth and development hear how that me student we go into the communications part again with the challenges in the strength and some of the recommendations one of the things we ask for freshman is to really have that dialogue with their teacher specially now coming up to their first Finals session you know they may want to check in with their teacher to make sure they're starting the right things and how to go about it because this is their first season of that and I know it can be very stressful the teachers also know exactly what they expecting on the finals and how students can study so there will be some study sessions within the teachers also with our Veritas tutoring which is after school and they can also go there and get some beer too. are some teachers tutoring with our health centers so Dan we have the working with others a challenging and their recommendations and recommended careers so when they have the four initials you can kind of think we're maybe I might want to go into or what man I want to do in addition to the median salary of those certain career path so we go through it and then it's just they can see all the careers that are recommended also so that is the second assessment that they have done today or they will be doing tomorrow we're going to go a little bit I'm going to show you a little more what Naviance has in the career they have what they called exploring of careers they don't have to take a test meant for this portion of it but they can type in the career title here and they can go in again it's going to tell you what the education needs are and what they mean salary of that so students can kind of look through it and maybe there's something that they might want to find they may want to go to be a judge or they might want to go in to be a psychiatrist psychiatrist or an Asian or so it really helps them to look at different types of careers in addition to the career path we have the Clusters and Pathways so they will cluster them here by certain titles students go down to see maybe they're interested in hospitality and tourism so it will give them related Pathways and they can read the date details up here and kind of go through and see if there's anything that they like in that also another one is what we have is called Roadtrip Nation videos Rogue nation is a really great way of looking at different leaders and the styles that they have gone to weather today National passware webpass whether it's been to their experience so they are recommended leaders of talking to about what maybe they are into an engineering environmental nature science and technology so they can sleep this it will start the video or they can do what we call Flying your road and with that they can start talking and they'll say Define the road so they're going to be choosing different steps maybe what is interesting to them right now so they can go ahead and say okay I like to uphold a belief and maybe I want to do something environmental and in my step 3 maybe I want to do something in Journal so then these Lee I have similar road so they can listen to how these different leaders have gone through their lives and what challenges and what strains they brought to that job or that major and how they got there because we all know also as adults that the way to really learn about different types of career path is rarely in a straight line is very secure system anyways so we're asking them to list different kinds of people in what has been interesting did them and maybe that's something that might spark an interest in the student themselves so moving on we have colleges and this is one that I think a lot of parents like to look at I'm going to start here with find your fifth find your feet talks about there are over four hundred colleges out there just on the Common App it's so we have more than a couple thousand of the colleges out there in the United States are colleges in Europe there colleges and foreign language a foreign country so any place that a student would like to go pretty much there's probably a college there that they make want to research do we have different places here they can do it what call a direct College look up let's say they know of a college they maybe want to go to UT Austin and they can look it up right here and just put in the actual name of the college but I want to talk more about what they call us format College search because many of our students don't know what they want to do where they want to go or any of that type of criteria so what's wonderful about the super match is that it actually talks about criterias that must have or what they think they need in a different color so this one is actually had already picked some and so they had already saved some of their must have there's 13 criterias that they can choose like for example public school or a private school or the location of those schools where they want a big school where they want a small liberal arts school so there's different types of criteria that they can put in cheer up on the top location at academics admission student live some like a Greek Greek type of our lives and want to play Ultimate Frisbee so it just depends on the student there's the diversity what does that mean institutional characteristic which is also always something that they need to be talking in a family about because some colleges are extremely expensive and Athletics so with this one it has already been kind of these are the must have wasn't really anything that was nice to have they really demanded these so then when you click here when you get to search and you go down it will tell you where the fit score so for this particular location major campus surrounding and acceptance rate we had to that really matched one hundred percent that is Occidental here and Reed College and why force of all talks about the GPA and where the student is the SAT and ACT it's either one or the other usually again here Andre College which is up in Oregon here's where the GPA average was as 80 and act again is it's not there because they have the sat in there so on the right it will talk a little bit about highlights of photos and videos on profile so they can take it there they can take a short or they can also see how much the tuition cost right now what that means in just tuition and fees and in addition to the room and board for example even though we're very close to Occidental they do require that their freshman live on campus at first year so that would be all inclusive there in terms of those and as we go down you see the fit for me go a little bit less and then you can hit the button of why it tells you what it matches with but it tells you maybe something that it doesn't match up with what the student has put in so that is the breakdown of that and then again here we go about the gpas and tuition where the schools located they can pin it to compare so maybe they want to compare this cool with this school so they can try to see the side by side in addition they can also put it as a favorite if they choose is as a favorite they can actually move that on to their colleges I'm thinking about list which I kind of go through in a little bit Cherrydale so you can see that these these these were up about 90% of a math 87 and so on so it goes down to wherever the last one is for that particular search they can go back up I can save that search over here to save it or they cannot save it and then go back and choose from again the sit criteria up on the top another part that's really interesting to see is what we call the sky a g still the scattergrams will tell you it won't let me because it's on a student what asked AG really talk to you in turn what does the school look like in terms of where my GPA is and where my test scores are so what the two lines come up it looks like this 20% 25% 25% usually is above that marker again 2025 is usually below where those two meet and about 50% is in that area where they actually meet so it's interesting when you can look at the scattergram for your student or even just it has since 2009 so it has where our students have been or accepted to and so you can kind of see what that means I'm granted that everything in college every year is a different year so even though we have statistical data back to 2009 it doesn't mean that even though somebody in 2009 that has a similar profile and didn't get in means that a student with a similar file will get in definitely this year and vice-versa so it has a lot of different comprehensive criteria of why a student is accepted into a college but it kind of gives you an average where that goes also on there so that's pretty much where those fine if it's so then we move on to what we call the research college so colleges I'm thinking about here's that pink heart that I was talking about so when you go on to it a student's can add that on so you can see this this is added on by the students in addition parents can add on a college or two or three so you have that option to go ahead add and from your Naviance you can add on that a lot of things that I'm showing tonight are really under the students profile and not so much under the parents but we would really suggest that you sit down again with your student and then they can kind of show you if there's things that you want to see off of their profile that you can't see from the parent site so she tells you the school and the CIA means that is a common app that means a common application School means there is one application and it populates out to all the other schools that are of a common app so it's a one-and-done unlike many of us who filled out many different application to go to college if you see a adjust like a computer screen without the Common App inside that means they will take electronic transmission however it is not under the Common App when you see other schools you might see on this when you don't see it but they may have like a little Mail stamp that means that is a male-only school and that's few and far in between but there are still some that do require us to mail everything out so it also gives when the application deadlines the students will be putting in their deadline we usually have three different time frames the first one is November 1st that's for your early action and early decision students on that means they want to know before winter break is upon us where they got an end and we'll go over that as we go up each year talking to the students and we'll have another Naviance night for each razor so we talked a little bit about deadlines a second one is a major one here in California is the you season CAL States and that's always November 30th it doesn't matter what year it is it's always November 30th and the last one that we usually have is usually January 1st there's three time frames that students can apply and do apply so they just need to be mindful and that's kind of why they're going to be putting on certain deadline on colleges I'm thinking about also have college visits even if I click here right now we don't have any listed because we have finished with a week left to go to the finals we are not having colleges visit right now but every week you will see visit and what time and where they are where their virtual or outside of our underneath the tent there's a way to compare different colleges again here's about acceptance history I-70 Pro College what school many were accepted let me see if you can see it on here so she could go for example Academy of the Arts offer all years all the way to 2022 there were eight that were accepted in five enrolled so you can kind of see where our numbers are if I want to look directly at a certain School in addition to that we have what we call College map Sears and enrichment program so that is something as we go up the grade level will go into a little bit more and then applying College this is really for our Junior and senior parents just to know that this is the one so was a student is definitely going to apply they will be moving it from the college I'm thinking about to the college's I'm applying to the letters of recommendation is where they request them from their teachers counselors write all letters of Rec it doesn't matter if they request it or not we will be riding one for the student long as it is a private or independent school we do not right for the UCS Northern CAL States that do not require letters of Rec for their the last column that he wanted kind of refer is the scholarship and money so there are Pacific College scholarships up here so that they can look there's also also want to call the national scholarship search so they can actually put in a search engine with their GPA you know interests and then they look at that also in there and we'll hit that little bit harder when we are in Temple 11th and 12th grade in addition we have here the little envelope so if something's coming through through email they will be able do have a number up here and they can just open that up and read that the planner we are not using this year as I said we are using their own planners that they're bringing in but if a student feels really like they wanted they can do that on their Naviance to in terms of what comes next we will be sending out your link again to your Naviance account and then you just need to reset the temporary pass it is linked to your email that is in Aries so that is not correct then please contact the main office to go ahead and fix that so that one that data can go in or you can also email your counselor your child counselor and they can go ahead and put that in from their end of their on their side of Nadia with that I'm not sure if Miss Rodrigo Rodriguez are missing I'd like to see anything in terms of if I miss something otherwise I'm going to open that up for a Q&A and any of us can go ahead and answer the question so they're okay so somebody had a question about the resume piece so it says Anonymous attendee I'm wondering about Esme inconsistency piece shouldn't students have a chance to figure out what they like do they already need to be consistent by the 9th grade maybe they do Sports then drama or something else is in high school time to learn instead of a ready knowing who they are yes when I said about consistency piece I didn't mean it all to be in the 9th grade student uses chooses consistency peas like I said they may start in 9th grade or they may start in intense weight or they may started in 11th grade it it really is something that they have to decide and yes we want them to try things out what we don't want them to do is by the time they're seniors they say this year as a senior I'm in 15 clubs because College the admissions know that no student can be in 15 Club and do it well so we do want them to narrow that scope down to pick what they really are interested in doing and it doesn't even have to be a school type of activity that we have students that do things on the outside of school that are there if you need it done it for a little bit longer than a year so they can go ahead and do that also we have students that are in Tinkers you know they'll go home and they're building a robot at home because that's something they might be like to do we have students that are very much into the art so they may be doing metal work or they may be doing glass work because that's something that really brings them joy we want them to find what makes them happy know we don't want them to know absolutely for sure what they want to do but colleges do ask them if they do have an inkling of their Majors that they or their career path that they want to study to go ahead and apply for that particular major are certain ones are really difficult right at this moment one of them is nursing in the state of California it's impacted all the way up and down the state so if a student is going into nursing and want to get into nursing we would recommend that they do apply for that it's not to say that they can't get into nursing later but many of the schools at least for the last couple years would say if they didn't start as a freshman in college we can accept them later down the road it is really your right High School is a time to learn about yourself it is up time to explore and find different kinds of avenues a different kinds of friend group event anything that makes them feel good and interested and passionate about that's what we want them to do but when I was talking about consistency it was more something if a student was taking a certain pathway because they already kind of knew that would be something that we would up to do great thank you so much there's another question about who exactly can send messages to students via the Naviance mailbox it would be their counselors that would be sending something out through Naviance we do that at so students kind of knew what might be going on for example they may be getting the college visits okay the hey there's call cuz it's coming this week make sure you check in with the admissions officer so those are the kinds of things that also come into play We also contact students through their Google Classroom because we find that also works on and everything goes to their student fusd.net great will this be recorded and available to watch the earlier Zoom link was incorrect and I miss the beginning of the presentation and want re-watch absolutely we're going to be able to place us up on our website that is under sphs Tigers. Just know that we're doing our best all right the next question is there something we as parents need to do if we have more than one student at sbhs if you have an older child and this is your freshman that you're talking about or sophomore in the senior I'm just contact your counselor I'm to make sure that the two Naviance accounts are linked and that way it goes on the one email so you'll get everything from there Indian college see what students put in as a resume and test scores know the resume is really for their individual counselor we when they're here with us they go up with us from 9th grade to their senior year resume service as something that we are looking at as a timeline because if the student did something in 9th grade often times by the time they're in senior year they have forgot what year did that so we really want them to try start with the resume if there's something that they've been doing whether it's babysitting weather again it's something that some skills that they have learned maybe they're taking a class outside whatever it may be that they feel that is necessary for the counselor to know we would really tell them to put it onto their resume so one of the questions asked previously was when and I see more questions related to the same question when are students working on this so today during study hall and also tomorrow the counselors have gone in with presentation so if it didn't happen for your child today it's happening tomorrow thank you I'm just a college database only contain you as colleges are also colleges and other country Naviance has primarily only the ones here in the United States that doesn't mean that you can't your student can't research other colleges up there's different ones like in Europe that they can go ahead and they have a same type of common app system over there where they can apply to in one application when it goes in populates out so Naviance is based more here in the United States because there's quite a few but there are a few that may be outside like in Canada that might be in Korean also okay the next one says which council do we contact if we have a senior freshman with different counselors if you're here for the Freshman one because your senior I would assume it has a an account and everything with us I would go ahead and contact the Freshman want to link it back to the senior one okay next question is I know a lot of schools have moved away from requiring standardized testing for applicants of course a lot may change in the next you used but is taking the SAT act something that a guidance office would be recommending at this what we have said to our students this year is that because most of the schools with very few are test optional now most of them are test optional meaning that they can or can't or they don't have to swim are scores in when you look at the breakdown of who gets into the University's there is a portion that is taken with their test scores there's a portion that is taken without their chest for just let you know holistically how we work in terms of applications is that it isn't one thing that drives everything to that application to that admissions offered to say to take my students they really are looking for listed way they're looking at their grades are looking at their record are looking at why they chose certain classes and looking at their extracurricular activities they're looking what kind of Believe It or Not sometimes they're even looking at a child social media and they're looking at all different kinds of points of the students are looking at their literal rex that the teachers have written for them they are looking at their personal statements at their writing about themselves so it is it is so located in many ways because they're they have certain he's at a college and your student is coming with certain strength so it's really finding a fit and that's why when they are applying we're not saying just I don't want School the majority of our students apply anywhere from maybe 9 to 12 that's kind of a general rule of thumb we have had students apply to 25 which had students applied to it's really an individual family discussion to make about how many of that going to be but just know that there are different criteria that they're using when they go to look at a prospective applicant for their call it's his novels with tears will be using for their college applications is Naviance connect to the college in Naviance connect to what the Common App that I talked about a little bit earlier and there is a link and the song students know how to do that and if they don't they need to see their counselor cuz most of us are already through the majority of our College season we're finishing up with the last ones that I have the January deadline it says do the listings being accepted in the database such as a accepted in University of Alabama students from sphs yes that's only are our documentation from our school I'm at so it says my student still Junior but she was trying to understand for the coming school year we did have a Naviance night a little bit earlier this year for the Junior but I do want to let you know as Juniors will be working with him after programming we do meet with our Juniors and go over all the college application process what it needs and then we also send them all during the summer to work on their personal statements I'm so we do want to make sure that they know what they need to do and parents know what they need to for them to do because it just help them in their senior year if they start doing summer and start getting some of the specially the writing portion because it takes a while it's not a one-and-done type of essay it's one of the most difficult message they have to write because they're asking them to write about themselves and over what time frame I believe you're asking the the data is from 2009 when we first started with Naviance 22 this last year of 2022 okay it looks like we're through with the question and answers anyone else have any other questions or answer again thank you coming tonight we will go ahead and post this on our website in addition you will be getting your account and so please look at your email it will be coming there with the temporary number and you can go ahead and change it over to a password that you can remember which class do cancers typically meet with the Juniors our initial presentation is with a late start so we'll have two in a row I'm willing to split our caseload by Alpha and then we will talk about all that information but in terms of programming and everything for juniors we will be in their English class thank you too and thank you very much for coming but we have one more does the super match take into account that the schools do not weigh GPA yes because the super match that you will see on our evening on the scattergram it does because it'll ask what the free example of the SAT before it was $2,400 1600 so it puts a GPA and they on Naviance at our top GPA is 4.0 and then they go ahead and put in the the 10th floor and then it comes up on the scatter graph where many colleges and look at their bear weighted GPA we as a school have it as unweighted on every single a great so 4.0 is the top even with a p classes yes we don't give them the designated bumped who will give this the designated bump you see these will go ahead and do four classes as well as CAL States and they choose which are the four that they are counting other than that we are still unweighted okay I think we're done with the Q and a thank you again for coming tonight we have another one hold on it is it's the same thing it's Apple's to app the oranges oranges she's asking why is that the policy we're just an unweighted school there's some high schools that weight and there's some high schools that are on our way to and they take that into account with our school profile that we send in to the college's so they know exactly what they're looking at and they know exactly what we do as a school so it isn't something that is unfair in that respect we do want students to report and take classes in their AP that are interest and if it's not necessarily in their interest then they don't have to take that level so it's just something that we have as a school and it's it's not going to make a difference whether we wait or on wait it's just up our school is is unweighted in the college's know that so it doesn't it's not a disadvantage for them if my student takes community colleges classes how might they be added to Navien if they're taking a community class they can do that and if they're taking one outside of our school first they have to fill out a form of a non sbhs plus it depends what community class their college class they are taking that would be something to check in with mr. spec-r assistant principal because he is the one who will let you know where that is one that will go on a transcript not so he's the one that would be the person to talk with do ninth grade GPS count for you seize it is yes they will require the soon to put in their classes and their grades from 9th grade all the way up and do all college require to be living the freshman year at the it depends on the college and I hear families hiring private College counselors is that necessary I just want to say it depends if an individual family decision whether they were The Higher One they are some College counselors that are great there are some College counselors that are not as proficient but I do know that our high school our counselors that are high school are trained and we are actually the ones that are responsible for all the it's going in for your child we do walk them through the process we do meet with them individually we do we do pretty much everything for them so we can but it isn't divisional family decision so if you feel that your child needs it then by all means you can do that but our school does everything from reading the personal statement to helping students with their financial aid to figurine at what is in their pocket to to looking at their personal Insight questions for the use these to helping them with their applications reminding them about deadlines the week pretty much run the gamut so again it is an individual question and the decision by the family but we are the ones who are responsible the College counselors on the outside they do not have to trans anything so if they're relying on us to do that it does but it relies on the soon-to-be and reach out to the counselors know we actually do this for all of our doing yours and our seniors we start in 9th grade again with just the personality we start with the Naviance to get them used to Naviance we continue in 10th Grade with the Cure and by 11 and 12 they were late going through the whole process of there if they're applying to college what does that mean whether it's a two-year whether the four-year they're not reaching out to us at that point we are actually reaching out to them in the school profile states at 6 Plus 8 piece is considered most rigorous I'm actually it's 3 per year is that the only criteria if a child takes more than 6 AP will there traffic because most recent arrest what that's just trying to tell you is that we are trying to be mindful about what the students taking and how much time they have to do their clothes for example they have 160 hours during the week to do everything and when you really think about it when they go to college they really aren't going to have four classes so why we are asking soon to look at where they are more interested in and taking their AP classes where is so that they can get the most out of those classes it isn't about the number per se is about what they learn from that class and how is that helping them go forward in their college whatever path we choose do it it is a number and one sense but it's not saying if you go over that number it's more they're just looking for where we at the school dean the AP numbers and weeding 3 is read the rest at that year and it said you mentioned that you see does not require teacher recommendation do they require other letters of support no their criteria does not require any kind of letters necessarily on the outside they may they may about 5% of the school's May request a letter of Rec from the counselor but it's very rare that they will ask in the you see it's more about they're saying on their
