The SPHS counseling department uses Naviance, a comprehensive K-12 college and career readiness platform that enables self-discovery, career exploration, academic planning, and college preparation for millions of students across all ages and around the globe. Naviance is a tool that helps counselors, parents, and students become actively engaged in making educational decisions. Increasing student awareness of their post-secondary options helps them to achieve at higher levels. Naviance allows each of our students to create a personalized plan that enables them make the right decisions throughout their academic journey. Each student can assess his/her learning styles, skills, and interests; research post-secondary and career opportunities; track the college application from start to finish, and learn about scholarships and financial aid.
For the 18-19 school year, Naviance will have a new look. Naviance Student is the all-new, mobile friendly Naviance student experience. Naviance Student will replace Family Connection in the 2018-19 school year.
Students and parents have individual Naviance Student accounts that can be accessed from any computer, smart phone, and tablet 24-7. Communication regarding guidance and planning information can be transmitted back and forth between students, parents, and counselors through Naviance Student. Please make sure we have the most up-to-date email account on Aeries to ensure the smooth delivery of Naviance services.
