everyone it's Miss Wilkerson I hope the start of the school year has gone well for all of you I wanted to bring your attention to a new opportunity as things have changed this year so have our policies and procedures I did hear from a lot of you last that it was very difficult to read everything online and that you wish you had access to physical but we're going to try and do something about that this year we're going to be doing a curbside pickup or library now it the time is going to be limit if we find that this becomes popular then we will take a look at it and try and offer it more frequently so your first opportunity to pick up books is going to be Tuesday between 1 and 3 in the school parking lot you need to have all the books that you want reserved prior to 8 a.m. on the 15th that will give us time to pull the books off the stack and put them ready for you to pick up between 1 and 3 in the school parking lot now you might ask how do I reserve a book it's simple from the school's website website go to library which is under academics cuz it's loading it's going to take you to the homepage of the library Destiny Quest is our library system and you all have an account with us so just go ahead and click on that there and it'll open up a sign in page is going to be your 6 digit ID number password is the adjective and the animal is what you would use for your email login and it should take you to your own homepage I'm using a sample account so it's going to say sample on here but your should have your name in the top left-hand corner okay so sample to South Pasadena High School so you'll see that all the new books are going to be listed on top you will if you go down the page a little bit you can search by topic if you choose 4 by ebook however you wish that there is a general search bar up at the Top If you want to search by title there's other features on here but I'm just going to go over procedure as to how you put these on hold so I'm going to do a general search I'm searching for a specific book together and it's going to pop up because we do have it search see that we have two different records in here one is there both physical books that you can see but one is probably a paperback and the other is going to be hard cover so I can either if this is the book I know I want I can just click on here but if I want more information I can click on the title and it's going to give me although anything else it might have on there but this is the book I want then going to put it in your account is going to expire on the 14th don't worry about the expiration date on that will take care of that on this end so I can exit out of there if I choose I can look for other books this doesn't have to be done all at the same time as long as everything's in by 8 a.m. on the 15th if I want to see what books I have on hamburger left hand side click on that and it's quick because I have holes so I'll click on the hold and this is the book I put on hold if it was checked out if we had already checked it out to you hamburger it would be listed in check out that because it's still on hold it's just going to stay in there many books on hold as you want please just keep in mind that if your teachers being left out there and is looking for the books please don't Reserve every single book on the list to keep in mind that others need to access and we don't have the numbers of books reserving for the month and next month you can put another two if you have any questions please feel free to email email me at s Wilkerson and I'm more than happy to help you otherwise I'm hoping some of you will take advantage of it remember the date you need to have all your by 8 a.m. on Tuesday September 15th between 1 and 3 p.m. in the school parking lot on the 15th once again if you have any questions please let me know have a great day and I will hopefully see you all soon
