well, nice to see you welcome to mystery from the book corner I wanted to share a few books that I've been reading over the last few weeks the person which has been super fun and I can't date Jesus love  family erase and other reasons why I put my faith in Beyonce and he just writes about a variety of talking topics from like I really found it enjoyable I should mention that there is some sexual content but it's part of the narrative part of the accident the second thing that I wanted to mention is this tell this have to tell him right here in the Patrick Melrose by Edward st. Aubyn I have been reading different parts of this 5 novel set over the last few months and I over the last couple we fire red 4 and 5 and 5 and a day so good so powerful the exploits of a British Aristocrat auction and recovery and I just found it fascinating and I learned so much about heroin Addiction in it was fully captivated and distraught by at the same time I think the book strength is its verisimilitude I really felt as though I were there I was in the midst of the cuz I was in the parties I was in the trips it was so powerful actual abuse but I think it is so powerfully written in so poignant and so necessary story that I can't imagine not having been having that part in the story like it was quite compelling if you don't want to read all five parts of the story I would also recommend books 1 and 3 I felt books 1 and 3 excellent menu for the national book award in the booker prize I mean it's excellent another book which honestly my favorite of the ones I've ran the last couple weeks is called are real life by Brandon Taylor I don't even have the book right now because I turn on to someone cuz I just think it's so good I Chronicles 3 days in the life of this black grad student in the Midwest and I couldn't put down there are so many twists so many unexpected moment and again this verisimilitude I just felt as though I were completely immersed in the story that dialogue was so true so realistic so authentic and the relationships were so incredibly layered I couldn't put it down there is some unexpected sexual violence but I guess just a genuine and real life and so it was quite good those are the ones that I read recently that I'm I really enjoyed I'm almost done with and you can see my bookmark here with ordinary Grace by William Kent Krueger this was a recommendation from Marlene Osmond and it is just sweet and Charming it's a mystery set in Minnesota in the 1960s two boys Frank and Jake and it just Chronicles as a little bit of that references in illusions Pinterest sweet and Charming there are three murders and the boys are caught up in the midst of it in their small town of New Bremen and I just I was Charmed I'm almost done and I'd spend a really sweet guy just started and you can see my bookmark it's called dead and now she is a korean-american author and her protagonist is also korean-american the detectives name is Juniper song and I just might of mysteries set in Los Angeles graffiti Juniper son went to Harvard Westlake and attended Stanford and so she travels all over the Southland which is super fun I'm not too far in the opening scene had me a hug to she's meeting on feeling rather this young woman this young Armenian women at a restaurant in South Pasadena run by some Chinese American folks and I thought I'm in I hope you're reading some good stuff I have been reading so many good things and hope online school is going well miss you all thank you
