this is just a quick tutorial to go over how you will access the eBooks from South Pasadena High School teachers may be assigning you some reading a book and so I want to make sure that you are all able to access we're going to start off at South Pasadena High School website on academics and then click on Library open up to the library we want to go to the right my system so that is Destiny Quest go ahead and click on the center of the page will open up a new window in order to access task DHS has an account at the top right-hand your username is going to be your 6 digit ID number your password is going to be your Google password so that you could go ahead and log into a test page we will show you how to access the account test page so obviously it has if you know the title of the book if your teacher has assigned a specific book then you can search it under the find box at the top and you will be able to access it that way but sometimes the title so I want to limit my search to Jessi Buck I'm going to go to Advanced Search and limit my search so down at the bottom here under choose choose format we are done going to choose ebooks or Alexa because that's all I want to search for I don't want to access any other print resources they aren't available to us then click on go and it's going to come up with a list of all of our just trying to find a book to read to you can also narrow it down by genre and that sort of thing on your left hand side but we're just going to go ahead and open one of the book the singers don't my teacher has assigned Beowulf I want to make sure from the very start that I add to a shop this will help me when it comes accessing it at a later time so we're going to add it to the now reading shell and then click add to this list all right okay I've added it now I want to open the book another tab but my internet is really slow at home so it's going to take just a second to load the book but hopefully none of you will have to wait too long title Pages coming out cover page is coming up because I have not read it before if you had been reading it it usually opens up to where you left off but there's ways to ensure that as well on your left hand side of the menu so you can show chapter however you choose on the top right-hand side you have options to change the display on those are good to mark images or maybe you also have the ability to add notes and highlights there I'm just going to choose a place to go we're going to go to chapter 4 of Beowulf take a look at what it looks like so we do have it looks pretty much like a print often but we can go through through through the pages on the arrows on the right hand side or if you want to go back once again Under menu you can go to a specific page to go back to a page it is pretty self-explanatory it is fairly simple when you're done reading for the day I sent got to go back to Destiny we can go ahead and close this out because that's already in my list and as you can see over here this is my shelves for the click on this one I'm reading currently five different the next time I log in I have to do is go to that shelf and then we can immediately access where I left off please don't hesitate to contact me if you have any questions or if you need any help how to see you all very soon
