Congratulations to the SPHS Math Team, led by teacher Andrew McGough, for earning second place at the annual Cal State Long Beach Math Day at the Beach competition – a problem-solving festival for Southern California high school students. The team of six students included Bethany Chen, Kai Dettman, Dana Lin, Adam Yang, Michael Xiong, and Jiamin Xu. The team’s high scores qualified them to compete in the top division next year.
