SPHS Choir Earns Superior Ratings at Southern California Vocal Association Festival

On Friday, March 13, 2026, the SPHS Choir participated in a Southern California Vocal Association Festival at San Marino High School. The festival is split into two parts:

  • Performance: Each choir performs three prepared pieces in the auditorium for a panel of professional judges (and other festival participants). The choirs are scored on elements like tone, musicality, and presentation.
  • Sight-Reading: The students are given an eight-bar rhythmic and melodic excerpt they’ve never seen before. After just one minute of silent study, they perform it on the spot.

The SPHS Choir earned the highest possible superior rating on each part of the festival. Congratulations to our talented vocal artists and their teacher, Wylder Reinman.

Go, Tigers!
