SPHS Earns Gold Recognition for AP School Honor Roll

The College Board recently announced that South Pasadena High School (SPHS) has been named to the 2025 Advanced Placement School Honor Roll, earning a Gold-level distinction.

SPHS offers 19 Advanced Placement courses, with 74% of seniors taking at least one AP Exam during their high school experience. A whopping 96% of all SPHS students taking AP Exams during the 2024-2025 school year scored a passing score of three or higher. An impressive 70% of the Class of 2025 scored a three or higher on at least one AP Exam, indicating a high level of college readiness.

AP courses and exams aim to challenge students to think critically, construct solid arguments, and consider multiple perspectives on an issue – to prepare them for college and beyond. We are so proud of our students’ success and are excited for their future endeavors.

Go, Tigers!
