PTSA, in partnership with the SPHS Counseling Department, hosted an inaugural Career Fair all this week at SPHS. Professionals across a variety of careers were on hand each day to chat with students about their jobs including their work experiences, their daily routines, the hiring process at their place of work, what they like about their jobs, any challenges they might have, company cultures, growth opportunities within their field, educational path and more. It was a special opportunity for students to speak with real-life working people about their professional lives and career paths.
Thank you to the more than 60 volunteers (including many SPUSD parents) who visited SPHS during their lunch hour and represented industries such as art, automotive, business, communication, design, entertainment, education, healthcare, information technology, law, real estate, social services, and STEAM. The Career Fair will be underway outside of the counseling office through Friday, April 28, 2023.
