Proposed Trustee Area Maps for Community Review and Input

We have an important update in the process to establish a new By-Trustee Area Election System for the selection of the members of the South Pasadena Unified School District Board of Education. A demographer has created three map options. As noted on the proposed maps, the District will be divided into trustee areas, and one governing board member will be elected by the registered voters in that particular trustee area. Voters will decide only between candidates that live in their own area. The new by-trustee area election system will not affect the District's attendance boundaries.

We appreciate your feedback and participation in this process. Following are three proposed trustee area maps for community review and input. Community members are welcome to provide comments in person at the SPUSD Board Meeting on January 11, 2022 at 6:30 p.m. during the public comment time.

Alternatively, community members may submit input regarding the proposed trustee area maps by sending an email to [email protected]. Written comments will not be read as part of the formal record, but Board of Education members will receive and consider all comments submitted.
