On November 21 & 22, 2019, 48 students who are part of the SPHS Sports Medicine classes visited Dignity Health Sports Park in Carson, Calif. Students met with an LA Galaxy athletic trainer who discussed working at the pro level and led tours of the LA Galaxy locker room and the athletic training/sports medicine facility. The students were able to connect their classroom learning experiences to practices used by one of Major League Soccer’s original clubs and also explored the stadium field during their trip.
