Period 3 Graphic Design 3-4 (Web)

This course will explore the historical to the rapidly changing trends in the field of design for web and motion graphics. Through design projects students will develop problem solving skills, artistic perception, critical thinking and self-reflection. With the awareness of design solutions throughout history in various cultures students will understand the impact of the arts and design on human experiences. Students will also learn methods and theory such as elements and principles of design to enhance their artistic vision and style. Design critiques and presentations will provide opportunities for students to grow as design artists. All experiences will focus on developing perception and application of the element of art and principles of design through contemporary design applications and web design.
