Project Lead the Way Introduction to Engineering Design (Period 7)

This is the foundation course of the nationally recognized Project Lead the Way pre-engineering program. In this course, students use 3D modeling design software to solve design problems as they develop, create and analyze product models. The course encourages students to think like engineers and apply the engineering design process. Students will document their work and communicate solutions to peers and members of the professional community. 

 

The focus of the course is to expose students to the design process, professional communication, collaboration methods, design ethics and technical documentation. Students will develop skills in research analysis, teamwork, technical writing and engineering graphics through project-based activities.

 

This class is UC/CSU approved for "G".
