Shorr Foundations of Comp Sci 2025-26-Per 4

You will be making art related to an area in computer science, but first we need to do a little research.

1. Select one of the following areas of interest that we have discussed in the last unit in relation to the various types of AI, its use, and impacts. 

  a. Algorithmic bias
  b. Datafication -  Turning human behaviors into quantifiable data
  c. Use of / Protection of intellectual property (copyright, fair use)
  d. The benefits and/or harms of a particular AI use (generative or otherwise)


Make and submit a google doc with the following:
The issue you selected that will be represented in your art. Include the benefits and harms of its impact.
Links to two current events articles you've read about the topic, with brief summaries (at least 2 fully human-written paragraphs each). Make sure to answer the following prompts:
  o   How does the technology work? (Or what is the world issue and why is it happening?)
  o   How does the application or technology impact people, including both benefits and harms? 
What position you have on the topic and what message you want to get across to your audience through your art.
What you plan to make.

Due the day of your final, start of the period.
1. Submit your work (attached either as an image, link in a doc, movie file, etc). If code, include all files.
2. In a doc, explain what your work is & how you made it (one human-written paragraph), and what you want viewers to learn from it (at least one human-written paragraph). Make sure to include specifically how your project is supposed to convey that lesson to your viewers.
