Work together to add information to the chart paper hung up on the back wall of the classroom.
Do not to repeat ideas on the charts.
After about 30 minutes students should break up into groups for the cancer section using the color coded roll form I provided to the sub.
After students take notes on their assigned cancer they will nominate one student from each group to present to the class about how to increase or decrease risk for the cancer assigned.The class should take notes as each group leader presents.
Homework will be to finish the section and complete the conclusion questions.

Complete as much of 3.1.4 as you can. We will not be able to do the wet lab portion of the activity but I have a picture I took of the microarray from this section a couple years ago. I will post what the microarray looks like so you can answer the questions. See attachments. 3.1.4 should be complete by Wednesday. We will also have our notebook check on Wednesday. I just noticed that the microarray virtual lab (Part 1 in 3.1.4) I asked you to do for homework over the weekend needs flash. Most of you probably were not able access the virtual lab. Please go to youtube and type in DNA Microarray. Take notes on DNA Microarray technology and how it works. Watch a few different videos and add to your notes. This will give you a couple different perspectives on microarrays. Then finish the section.
