Hi Welcome to the Chinese 5/6H class.
 
Please write your name inside the cover page on your textbook and workbook. No any inks, mark on the textbook and workbook or you will get penalty at the end of this school year.
 
Hwk:
1. Study Lesson 1.1 new words and expressions test on page 13 on 8-24-17.
2. Study Lesson 1.1 on pages 1-2 (content) and 13 (new words and expressions).
3. Bring one 3 rings portfolio on 8-18/22-2017. You will receive handouts, such as Foreign Language standards,
    Common Core standards etc. and organize them on it. Please See me if you can not find one portfolio.
4. Do portfolio cover page, due on 8-18/22-2017. Follow the format.
5. Write about my summer vacation and present it on 8-22-2017. (oral, 15 points)
6. Practice the "Welcome Song" 20 times daily at home and present it on 8-24-2017.

What some cultural differences between Chinese and America? List 3:

3. In America, students do not need to clean up class, campus while in Chinese culture students
    have to.
4. In America, students can take AP classes while in Chinese culture students can not.

"Respect, Integrity, responsibility" is the similar cultural spirits between American and Chinese Culture. The purpose to learn the Tiger spirits/Chinese ethical values is to integrate these values into our curriculum. We will recite it on 3-26-18.
