Assignment
Test on Modules 2, 3, & 4!
These are common areas of weakness:
- isolating variables (2.3) - We have trouble with reverse order of operations, when to distribute and when to factor, when to multiply and when to add
- solving and graphing inequalities (matching inequalities to graphs, what it means when there is a line under the inequality, which symbol means greater than, etc. Remember we switch the sign when multiplying or dividing by a negative)
- Domain and range: how to write it, which one is associated with an x and which one is associated with the y
- Converting word problems to INEQUALITIES and solving them
- Writing explicit and recursive rules (4.2 & 4.3)
Remember, the website for the textbook, my.hrw.com, has videos, as well as mrmathblog.com
