Advanced Algebra satisfies the California Common Core Standards for Algebra 2. This course is designed to build on algebraic and geometric concepts taught in previous courses. A primary goal is for students to conceptualize, analyze, and identify relationships among functions. Units of study include: Linear Systems, Quadratic Functions, Polynomial Functions, Exponential and Logarithmic Functions, Rational and Radical Functions, Probability and Statistics, Conic Sections, Sequences and Series and Trigonometric Functions.Students will develop their ability to think mathematically and develop their conceptual understanding of mathematics and procedural fluency in mathematics by working collaboratively on a regular basis. Students will also learn to use mathematical models to understand real world events and situations, and use algebraic reasoning to manipulate these models for deeper learning as well as be able to justify and defend their thinking.

Continue studying and practicing for your final and make sure you refer to your notes if there is something you don't understand. The solutions are worked out for Ch.5, Ch. 6 and Ch.7. There may be mistakes but they should be mostly correct. Solutions to Ch. 3 and Ch. 8 were on the study guide and corrections made during class.
Please note that # 1 a) and 1 b) were incorrect in the solutions for the Chapter 5 Study Guide. Please change the problem to ask for degree of the monomial for a and b. Since there is only one term, you should add up the exponents to find the degree of the monomial. 1 a) should be degree 3 and 1 b) should be degree 2.
