1. Lesson 1 My School Life: this lesson enables students to share their experiences of school life including their subjects, exam, and classrooms. Students will also be able to hold basic conversation commonly used in the class and on the school ground.
2. Lesson 2 How do you go to: this lesson helps students communicate on topics related to transport. They will be able to talk about methods of transport and their appropriate use.
3. Lesson 3 My after-school Life: this lesson aims to enable students to talk to or write about their after-school life including TV programs.movies. music, plays and sports. They will also learn to express their broad opinions within the topic.
4. lesson 4 Review I : this lesson reviews and reinforces the language learned in the previous lessons using a letter, a note and a diary entry.
5. Lesson 5 Celebrating Birthday: this lesson shows students the communication on approaching birthday celebrations which include invitations and replies, buying and receiving gifts and attending parties. The lesson also includes topics such as special Chinese festival foods, overseas traveling experiences and comparing physical features.
6. Lesson 6 I am Sick: this lesson aims to teach students skills on talking about illness, reading medical instructions and writing notes of absence.
7. Lesson 7 Traveling : this lesson aims to teach students skills on discussing travel plans, reading travel brochures and flight schedules, giving opinions on photos, holding a conversation on the preparation for a trip and see someone off.
8. Lesson 8 Review II: this lesson aims to reinforce the language students have learned from the previous lessons. Students will also learn to write a diary, a note for the notice board and a letter using more advanced language on a variety of topics.
