 in 3 minutes(Good News: the 3 minutes presentation starts from the moment that you meet your audience. In other words, your English introduction of the project counts in the 3 minutes ;), 
use your white T-shirt to practice your presentation. The white T-shirts are in the top drawer which is located at the end of the classroom's left-hand side. Please have one student grab all the shirts out for the class. Thank you for this responsible person to do this for us!
Make sure to do your best to follow the rubric and show your shirt in the video. You can do it multiple times and only keep one to receive the grade for this activity.

Please follow the instructions.
1. according to your number, get your textbook. Everyone will return the textbook before you leave the classroom today. Please be mindful: don't write or draw anything in the textbook. Thank you!

2. Go to Lesson 1開學: Copy all the Lesson 1 vocabulary, and make sure to follow the order: Chinese characters, pinyin, part of speech, and English definition. You can find the Quizlet flashcard on google classroom as well to help you pre-study the words. 
We will have a quiz in the next class, for the first 10 words(on the vocabulary list #1 to #10). In the quiz, you will be asked about how to write the characters, English definition, pinyin, and part of speech.
 
3. copy Lesson 1's text to your notebook(Chinese only, and you can mark the pinyin on top of the words that you don't know, Simplified or Traditional is your choice). If you don't have the notebook, please grab a piece of paper for now. You are responsible for this piece of paper. I will check the work next time we meet.

At the end of the class, make sure to take a picture of your work and submit it to this assignment to show your work. You can use your cell phone for this purpose only.  If you don't have a cell phone, you still can take pictures by using the Chromebook camera.

2. bring to class all the required materials(syllabus): 1 composition notebook, 1 three-ring binder (*if you signed on my paper in class, you don't need to worry about it); fully charged Chromebook, basic study supplies(pen, pencils, etc.)

**Only for students who brought the white T-shirt home: Make sure to bring the shirt back to class on Thursday. I will give everyone time to work on the shirt. If a student doesn't have one, they will lose credits for the project. I will post the rubric for the T-shirt project.
