Due:
Complete all questions on the google forms and number the problems and show work on a scratch piece of paper. If you don't have work for a problem, just write down the number and leave it blank. You want to be able to identify which problem you are working on so that when you make corrections you have the work that corresponds to each problem.
This grade will NOT be counted towards your grade and is just to help you prepare for your final exam.

1) First, take the Solving Equations Diagnostic as if it were a test. You should not be asking for help during the Diagnostic. Once you've completely finished, then grade your practice test and determine which levels you will be working on using the criteria below.
Start at the first level where you missed a problem and move up a level until you've completed up to level 3. Whether you missed none of them or you only missed a level 3 problem you should complete level 3. A link to Khan academy for solving equations is included.
If you missed any from #1-4: Start at Level 1 and move your way up to level 3
If you got #1-4 correct but missed #5-10: Start at level 2 and then move up to level 3
If you only missed any questions from #11-14 or you got them all correct: Work on level 2 and level 3
A link to khan academy is posted. If you struggle with solving equations you should go through the module for solving linear equations.
2) Finish up to Level 3 of the practice (levels depend on your results from the Diagnostic Test)
3) Once you finish level 3 and make sure you got all answers correct you can start working on the Edpuzzle: Solving Exponential Equations (Part 1).
4) At the last 20-30 minutes of class on Friday, complete the Post- Test on google forms (as IF it were a test). The google form is posted on google classroom.

Due:
Complete the Post-Test Quiz on a scratch piece of paper silently and independently. This post test is for informational purposes only and will not change your grade.
Due:
Complete the practice problems and make any corrections needed to help prepare you for the exam. If you miss any of the problems, refer back to your old notes, re-watch parts of the edpuzzles, and make sure you get help with the problems before the test.
Problems like #7b, #13 and #14 will not be on the next test and you don't have the write the equation for #12c. Also, there was a mistake for the equation for #12d (there was a translation so the equation on my answer key was wrong. You won't have to write an equation for a graph like that but you do know how to write the equation if the horizontal asymptote is 0).
How to Prepare for Your Math Test
1. Complete the test review packet like a practice test.
2. Correct your practice test using solutions provided and see if you can easily identify what you did wrong or fix any misconceptions that you had.
3. For the problems you got incorrect, go back to your notes and re-watch relevant parts of the edpuzzles to see if that clears things up for you.
4. For any questions that you still have, ask a classmate and bring specific questions to Veritas tutoring (with the given solutions).
5. Write notes and reminders next to all problems on your study packet to help you remember and reinforce your understanding of the problems.

Due:
Complete #1-11 using the graphing calculator on desmos.com to help you identify each graph. You will need to make observations and try to notice patterns to determine the role of a, b and k in the exponential function f(x)=ab^x+k.
Watch the attached video to help with the sliders at the end of the handout. We will be going over #12 together (posted) but you should already have an idea of how the values a, b and k affect the graph before we go over it.

Writing the Equation of Exponential Functions Practice and Graphs, End Behavior and Transformations of Exponential Functions Practice
Complete all the problems and when you are done check your answers and make corrections on the assignment to help you prepare for your quiz.
Due:
Complete the Error Analysis for the Exponential Function Practice quiz. For any part of a problem that you missed determine if it is a computational mistake or a conceptual mistake. Computational mistakes would be if your mistake was something like you copied down something wrong or you put 2+3 =6 where as conceptual mistakes are when you have a misunderstanding or made a mistake with a concept or if you just didn't know how to do something. Most mistakes are conceptual mistakes.
On the left side you need to show the correct math step by step and on the right side you need to write exactly what you got wrong and what you were supposed to have done instead.

According to your self check quiz, begin at the lowest level where you got a problem wrong. If you got all questions correct, then begin with Level 2 and then go to Level 3. Everyone must at least complete level 2 and level 3 regardless of self check quiz results. Once you finish a leveled practice, you must check your answers and make sure you get your questions correct. Once you've done that you will open up the google form exit ticket for that level and complete the exit ticket. You will "pass the level" when you get 100% on your exit ticket. If you make a mistake on your exit ticket you must go back and review your practice and then make corrections on your exit ticket (on your own). You can move onto the next level once you've finished all practice and passed the exit ticket for a level.
**You can ignore the notes and steps on the practice problems if you want to use a different method but will get the same result.
The following is posted in this assignment:
Level 1: Practice (one page)
Level 2: Practice (two separate pages)
Level 3: Practice (two pages in one file)
Exit Tickets for Level 1, Level 2 and Level 3 which will automatically grade.
