Permutations are used to determine the number of ways to select and arrange objects where order matters.
Combinations are grouping of items in which order does not matter. There are fewer ways to select items when order does not matter.
Independent Events: P(A and B)= P(A)*P(B). Replace item.
Dependent Events: P(P and B)= P(A)*P(B given A). Item not replaced.
Mutually Exclusive Events: P(AUB)=P(A)+P(B). No overlap.
Inclusive Events: P(AUB)=P(A)+P(B)-P(AintersectionB). Subtract the overlap.
Good luck!

Complete the review exercises and check your answers.
p.815, p.816, p.817, p.818
There is a typo on p.815 #8. The correct answer is 12 degrees.
Please complete the circumcenter problem at the end of the attachments. In case you can't open the attachment, the question says: Given a triangle with vertices at (3,1,), (9,1), and (5,9), find the coordinates of the circumcenter and show that the distance from the circumcenter to the vertices of the triangle are equal.
Answer: (6, 4 1/2). Tips for finding circumcenter:
1) Find and calculate the three midpoints.
2) Calculate the slope of the lines.
3) By using the slope and the midpoint, find out the equation of the line
(y-y1)=m(x-x1)
4) Find the equation of the other line with the same steps.
5) Solve the two bisector equations by finding the intersection point.
If you would like to optionally look up a few more problems for a specific concept, I will post the answers.
