Drama 2/3 - Hoffa-Semester 2 - 2021 Assignments

Submit here. If someone else from your scene is doing the submitting, just return this assignment with the note saying who is submitting. If you have multiple scenes, submit both here.

We've been asked by the SP Library to record  the attached CrowdSourced Poem, by the local South Pasadena Poet Laureate Ron Koertge. This will go on the SP Libary website.

Your asynchronous assignment is to complete the Crowdsourced Poem (Thursday's assignment). It is due by the end of the day today and also counts as your attendance. REMINDER: Make sure we can hear you. 
Keep the camera still - don't hold it (if you already turned it in, that is ok)
Actually say the words "INHALE  / EXHALE." I'm not sure what the intention was but I already have some breathing inhales and exhales that I can use. So let's hear the words. I'll find out which version it is supposed to be.

WRITERS FOR SHOWCASE! I NEED YOUR SCENES OR YOUR CASTING IF YOU HAVEN'T GIVEN IT TO ME!

Please take a minute to check aeries and confirm with your family which cohort you are in. It will matter which rehearsal group you can be in for the Showcase.

Based off the character you created in the wish / fear exercise, write a scene or monologue. Must be a minimum of 90 seconds for a monologue (approx 1 page double-spaced) and 2 minutes for a scene (approx 1.5 pages double spaced). Of course, it can be longer than that if you'd like.

You may copy and paste phrases and sections you like from your own worksheets.

Using the negative/ positive WORDS, create a character. Instructions below.

Option 1) There is space for classical comedic and classical dramatic monologues - find one using the link below. You can sort by type and style. Just submit the link.
Option 2) There is space for 1 or 2 musical theater solos. If you are interested, submit some choices of songs you would be interested in.
Option 3) There is space for contemporary comedic monologues - This is harder to find online, but go for it. You may also indicate to me that this would be something you would consider.

Hi all - they could not find a sub for me, but there is an Asynchronous assignment you must do by 4PM to be counted as present and in class.
1) Please listen to the voice memo "DRAMA 2/3 INFO FOR MONDAY" - the last attachment below - and do the assignment described -"FULLERTON OPTIONS 20-21"
2) Complete this survey of the scenes you did on Friday and today (Monday) - "FULLERTON PRACTICE THOUGHTS"

To sum-up, two thing are due: a video of you doing your lines in this new scene. And

During your async time on Tuesday and at home, please express yourself... see the attached PAJ entry.

Along with your assigned group, you will create a 1-2 minute play based off of what THE DRAMA MACHINE gives you.
- One person will read stage directions, the rest are actors.
- The stage directions must take into account the venue and cost (ie a cafeteria versus a huge professional stage will have different props and sets and costumes)

STEP ONE: receive your assignment
STEP TWO: assign your "scribe"
STEP THREE: bullet point the main parts of the story you are given
STEP FOUR: write it out

The play can be fun scene or a 1-2 minute version of the entire story. We will perform the plays on Tuesday 11/12.
