2. Sketch it into your notebook. Your sketch needs to accurately show all of the simple machines that make up the compound machine
3. Label all of the simple machines
4. Draw a separate diagram in the margins for the gear trains
5. Calculate IMA for all the separate machines
6. Calculate the gear ratio for all of the gear trains
7. Calculate the overall IMA for the compound machine (IMPORTANT: you do not include your gear ratios in your IMA calculations)
