welcome to sphs the school you'll be in. four years unless you transfer or drop out but let's not go there the first week of high school can be a little confusing so here are some basic facts you should know about sphs I am principal John Eldredge welcome to South Pasadena High School finding your classrooms in high school can be a little confusing at first so here's how to navigate this I remember Stan for the building the classroom is located in my phone screen is a guide on where to find the different building the second number represents the floor your classroom is on much like the Middle School the vpa buildings Auditorium gym and field can also be seen on this map unlike the score of the high school does not have lockers you'll have to bring and carry everything you need for your day around in your backpack try your best to only bring the stuff you need for the day necessary stuff will only make your backpack heavier this is a drop off this is a drop off but this is not a drop off well it may be convenient to get dropped off on Ramona it is not an official drop off so you can drop your kids off at the back school on diamond or the front of the school on Fremont on campus bike racks are located here between the counseling center in the 400 building Please be aware of the traffic lights on Fremont when this light is green the drivers have the right of way to leave the parking lot make sure you aren't just blindly walking into the street and always be aware of your surroundings to save girl you school cafeteria food lovers there are many options for you there to lunch lines in the cafeteria with their own meal choices some variant day by day outside the cafeteria there are two other options the tiger Express also the same things that the inside cafeteria does and more there's also another option of burgers and hotdogs freshly-made off the grill this is the sac card you can purchase it at the student store for $55 some benefits of the sack card are free or discounted admission to sport discounts dances plays performances and other school events you also get a free tiger guide unlike the middle school the high school does not have any all day instead we have a row block schedule the first day of school starts and then all day just remember that if the day is an even day the next school day will always be odd and vice-versa even if a holiday pass in high school you now have a 7. Depending on what classes you take 7th grade is true the other periods but you have it every single day every other week you'll have late starts on Tuesdays and Wednesdays we're class starts at 9:45 instead of 8:30 this one's for parents to the office does not accept drop off items none no homework you left home no lunch boxes no glasses nothing make sure you have everything you'll need for a day because your parents will be able to drop your stuff off at the office along with this it should probably also be noted that you can't have food delivered to the school online to either pack a lunch from home or get food in the cafeteria fun fact if you are interested in cinema South Pasadena is a filming location for lots of movies TV shows such as ladybird Teen Wolf and Back to the Future that's all for now good luck on your first week at sphs
