Applied Math - Gen Ed (Period 5:)

Understanding the role mathematics play in our day-to-day lives is extremely important, especially given our fast-paced, high-tech, numbers-oriented world. Quick comprehension and application of basic operations, percent, fractions, decimals, and conversions is expected. Yet, where is the opportunity for students to actually develop and practice these skills before the need is upon them? Through this Applied Mathematics course, students are exposed to, taught, and provided the opportunity to practice the daily mathematics’ requirements that will soon become such a large part of their adult lives.
