This time, however, we are writing a 4-paragraph essay - both about the horrible conditions and the things that gave Equiano hope. The introduction, then, is about Olaudah Equiano, not about you.

Write a four-paragraph essay contrasting Equiano's horrible experience with his survival techniques.  Each body paragraph needs a topic sentence and concluding sentence, along with three specific examples.  Include transitional clauses with each example and support your ideas with textual evidence (quoted and cited by page number).  A CD cannot consist of just a quote.  You need to identify the example and integrate quoted material to support your idea.  Every example is followed by two sentences of analysis.  The concluding paragraph is all commentary about what we can learn from Equiano.
