  5. The FRQ will include questions on experimental design.  Attached below is a check list to help your review the experimental design.
  6. The second FRQ will be two questions asking you to describe what you have learned this semester.  The first question will ask for a generalized answer and the second question will ask you to support that answer with 5 specific ideas from one of the five topic areas from this semester.  You should prepare an answer from each topic area since I will announce on the test day which topic area you are to use for your support.  I will explain this in more detail on Monday.  You can see the explanation and a sample answer on the attachment below (First Semester Finals Reflective Essay)
  7. Finally, you will identify 5 acts, treaties or agencies.  You can see the list on the "First Semester Final 2017Best"

Complete research on your water quality parameters (tests) that you selected in class.  The research on each parameter should be on it own page.   Your explanations do not have to take up the entire page.  Be concise with supporting details. You are to answer the following questions:
  1.       What is the test designed to assess?
  2.       Why is this information important to humans? (be specific about the harms caused)
  3.       Why is this information important to the ecosystem? (be specific about the harms caused)
  4.       What are the desired quantitative or qualitative limits or ranges (including units)?
  5.       How can conditions outside of the desired range be remediated (improved or adapted to)?
