Multiply ca min. Wage by 40 and then that number by 4 to equal the monthly earning for a minimum wage job in Ca- write that on your budget sheet
Now take the entry level average salary for the chosen career and divide it by 12- remember that taxes will also be taken out of the salary- write that number on your budget sheet
