The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society is the largest charity funding research, education, and access to treatments for blood cancer patients across the U.S. and Canada. Over the next four weeks, our school will join 29,000 others across the country in using our size, privilege, and voice to support this community.

IN-CLASS: EVERY 4th period, collect donations in your classroom box and send a student to turn in the day’s donations to the SAC room and bring the box back. Cash, coins, and checks (made out to “Leukemia & Lymphoma Society” with the memo “South Pasadena High School”) are all appreciated!

ONLINE: Anyone with the link can donate via credit card or PayPal, generally or with a specific classroom name (to add to in-class collections)

The 4th period class that raises the most money in relation to the number of students wins a free Olive Garden lunch. Second and third place classes win other treats. Classes that raise $100+ receive a bronze pennant, $200+ a silver, and $300+ a gold. SCORESHEET:

In one 7-hour school day, 140 people in the U.S. will be diagnosed with a blood cancer and 42 of them will lose their life to the disease. With 1452 students at SPHS, our goal this year is to top $7000, or at least $5 per student. If everyone contributes, this is be beyond doable. Every penny counts.
