<div><strong>Seminar:</strong> What would a feminist critic say about how the little seamstress is portrayed in the following passages: 33-41 and 139-146? What role does DIFS play in the way she's portrayed?</div>
<div>&nbsp;</div>
<div>We will have two different seminars. You could be asked to talk about either passage. You may use your books, but not your spirals, on this activity. You may also bring one side of one page handwritten notes to the seminar.</div>
<div>&nbsp;</div>
<div><strong>Presentations:</strong> We have a few more presentations. Be dressed and ready at the beginning of class.</div>

<div>
<div>
<div>You may choose to do this last essay as a timed write or a process paper. Instead of homework due at the beginning of class, I will give you 50 minutes to do the rough draft during class on Friday. If you turn it in Friday, I will give you 10 additional points and you'll be done with the essay. If you choose not to turn it in Friday, you may take it home over the weekend to complete a first draft by Wednesday. Then, you'll edit it in class on Wednesday and submit the second/final draft by 5/30 (a day when you see all your teaches). If you choose to do a process paper, but don't want homework over the holiday weekend, start the first draft before class on Friday. I will grade the timed writes in the same way I grade the process papers, hence the additional points for an essay submitted at the end of the period on Friday.</div>

<div>I anticipate being on campus tomorrow. Please come see me during the first part of lunch if you have any grade concerns.</div>
<div>&nbsp;</div>
<div>If you read 147-157 in class and did one new spiral page, there is no additional reading homework.</div>
<div>&nbsp;</div>
<div>Remember that the quiz from last week will be multiplied by 4 on Wednesday. If you missed it or currently have 4/6 or less, you can take a different version of the quiz on Wednesday during class. It will cover the same pages (66-130).</div>
<div>&nbsp;</div>
<div>Continue to work on your SRP presentation. Directions have been moved to the 5/14 posting because that is now the first day of presentations.&nbsp;</div>
