<div>For homework, read 2.4-2.6 and finish all accompanying spiral work.</div>
<div>&nbsp;</div>
<div>Additionally, remember that your 1st IR project is due!</div>
<div>&nbsp;</div>
<div><strong>Directions:</strong> Each student must do two IR projects this quarter. The first is due&nbsp; 5/17-18 and the second is due 6/1-2. There are a total of four options. You must do 1a or 1b <em>and</em> 2a or 2b. You may do both b's, but not both a's.</div>
<div>&nbsp;</div>
<div>All projects must be typed in a professional size-twelve font. The b's must be double spaced. All projects must include awesome titles and an additional three purposeful diction choices.</div>
<div>&nbsp;</div>
<div>1a. A sonnet about the main character. The sonnet must be 14 10-syllable lines and fit either the English or Italian rhyme scheme. It does NOT need to be in iambic pentameter.</div>
<div>&nbsp;</div>
<div>1b. Examine how stereotyping has impacted the main character. Did the character grow despite the stereotyping or was growth stunted by the stereotyping? Write an essay of at least four paragraphs. Each paragraph must contain at least two quotes. I recommend considering a single stereotype.</div>
<div>&nbsp;</div>
<div>2a. Write three poems that spin out of some singular experience you've had. You determine the length of the poems. Attach a paragraph explaining whether or not there are any connections between your poems and your IR book. It is perfectly acceptable to claim there is no connection. Additionally, your paragraph should guess at what topic your main character would choose to write three poems about if he or she were given this assignment by a teacher.</div>
<div>&nbsp;</div>
<div>2b. Write a personal narrative of 300+ words. The personal narrative must make some reference (direct or indirect) to the IR book.</div>
<div>&nbsp;</div>
<div>&nbsp;</div>
