This is an OPTIONAL Final Timed Write. See the prompts in the details of the assignment under heading "Final." You will not be penalized by opting to not do this timed write. The grade can only help you. If you choose not to do the timed write, you must remain quiet during the film so that others can watch and write.

The prompts are attached and the assignment is due to turnitin.com by the end of class.
YOU ALL are required to be present for the full two hours.
YOU ALL will have some reflection questions to answer for participation points. Pay attention to the word count requirements.

YOU ALL will have an optional timed write. This will include a non-BLCS writing option. However, if you choose to write about BLCS, you can use your book. Take this information into consideration when deciding how much time you spend preparing and when you return your books to the textbook room.

ADDITIONALLY, THOSE WHO DIDN'T RCD ON THURSDAY, will have one REQUIRED timed write on BLCS in addition to the optional timed write. If you think you'll want to do both, you may want to do the RCD/Timed Write before class. You could do the assignment on a Google doc ahead of time and come to class to hear directions about how and when to submit it.

Here is the prompt:
Should schools censor inappropriate literature? What qualifies as inappropriate? Can you think of things that you’ve read at the high school that had glimpses of inappropriateness, but whose positives far outweighed the questionable? Your examples should come from two different texts, Balzac and the Little Chinese Seamstress and one of your choosing. Your answer must be 300+ words long and include three specific details.

This prompt is one of the three choices for the optional timed write. If you also do the optional timed write, be sure to choose one of the Sleeping Beauty prompts later.
Read pages 76-105 and prepare for a multiple choice quiz. You can choose to work in groups or alone on the quiz. If you still owe me the research paper, you can opt to take an N/A on the quiz. It is in the best interest of your grade however to take it and do well.
