Rhetorical Situation Painting Assignment- based on the established criteria set in class today, evaluate the four paintings- links in instructions based on the criteria- consider the situation, audience, etc... and choose the one you feel is most appropriate

Write your letter to Ms. Bipkins persuading her to select the painting you think is most appropriate for the waiting room at the children's hospital you work for. Make sure you follow the business letter format included here and that you also include the following: 1. You ethos to establish credibility and gain trust- tell her a little about yourself, experience, passion for helping children etc... 2. Explain how valuable this donation is for the families and explain who that audience is and how they might be feeling in the waiting room. 3. Pick the painting you think is best based on the criteria discussed in class- list of agreed upon criteria is in instructions below- explain why this one is the best based on the criteria. 4. Complete all assignments in the Juvenile Justice packet for when I was absent- December 6th & 8 and finish reading and annotation for both structure and thoughts and reactions the article entitled, "Beautiful Brains" - 2nd article in the packet - this will be the last and only day to get credit for doing these assignments
