Select a Silent Reading Book you want to read- should be a book you have not read that you want to read that is at your reading level- grade level or above. I am attaching an AP recommended reading list if you choose to read an AP level book- this is not required - it only needs to be a book you genuinely want to read. You need to get a physical copy of the book and bring it in daily when we have class or you can use a kindle.

Read the essay on Poetry by Thomas Kennedy entitled Poetry and Verse: A Distinction- annotate either by printing the essay and doing them directly on the doc or do the annotations on a google doc- be prepared to show your annotations and to take a quiz on the reading - mark any areas of confusion as well
